Manitoba Business Awards 2012

The Manitoba Business Awards were established in 1983 by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Manitoba’s business community.

The awards will be formally presented at a grand gala on October 24, 2012 in Winnipeg, that is typically attended by over 400 business, government and community leaders.

Truly Special Awards

“I am proud to say these awards reflect both the values and the incredible diversity of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce,” said Frank Sottana, Board Chair. “ They reflect our values by celebrating economic achievement as well as community contribution. They reflect our diversity by spanning the spectrum of large, medium and small businesses; and by honouring businesses located in urban and rural Manitoba.”

The specific award categories are:

  • Outstanding Large Business (200+ employees)
  • Outstanding Medium Business (31-200 employees)
  • Outstanding Small Business (less than 30 employees)
  • Long-Term Achievement Business (minimum 25 years)- Winnipeg
  • Long-Term Achievement Business (minimum 25 years)- Rural Manitoba  and
  • The Lieutenant Governor’s Awards which consist of Outstanding Contribution to the Community by a Business Executive and Outstanding Contribution to the Community by a Business.

…That Provide Incredible Profile:

The main goal of the Manitoba Business Awards is to celebrate our province’s success stories in a way that informs and inspires.

To that end, each finalist and recipient is featured in a video that is shown at the gala and then posted on the MCC website and on You Tube.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce encourages nominations and urges everyone to nominate a local business or even nominate themselves for this year’s consideration.

The deadline is March 31, 2012.
