Located in Swan River, Manitoba, Swan Valley Credit Union (SVCU) serves residents, businesses and producers in the Swan River Valley region. Based in a major agricultural and forestry area, SVCU has assets of over $230 million and serves a membership base of over 9,000. SVCU supports Tigers Credit Union, a student-operated location in the local high school, and also owns Swan Valley Insurance Group, a full-service agency serving the region from three locations.

Reporting to and working with the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall direction of the credit union’s human and financial resources, as well as implementing the strategic direction for the credit union and creating an environment that facilitates change, vision and team-building.

The successful candidate will be able to clearly articulate an inspiring, compelling vision; display a dedication to exceed member expectations; and be energized by facing challenges head on. Being an effective communicator with the ability to develop, direct and motivate others, while retaining a high-performing team, is critical to your success in this position. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in a related field and/or an accounting designation, and will possess over ten years of senior management experience, preferably in a financial institution.
