Program Coordinator returns to MRAC
Kristin Yaworski-Lowdon rejoins the MRAC team as a program coordinator
Kristin Yaworski-Lowdon returns to the Manitoba Rural Adaptation Council (MRAC) as a part-time program coordinator after a one-year maternity leave. Prior to going on maternity leave, Yaworski-Lowdon was the MRAC value chain coordinator. Eugene Warwaruk remains in that position.
Yaworski-Lowdon will collaborate with program coordinator Helena Marak on Canadian Agricultural Adaptation Program (CAAP) proposals and work with past applicants who received funding under the Advancing Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food (ACAAF) program.
Yaworski-Lowdon is familiar with the program coordinator position as she served in this capacity prior to becoming MRAC value chain coordinator.
“In rolling out the recently announced Canadian Agricultural Adaptation Program, MRAC has identified the need to provide the industry proponents with assistance and guidance in managing the project reporting requirements,” said Ted Eastley, MRAC executive director. “Part of Kristin’s responsibility will be working closely with industry to help keep the projects on time and on target so these funds can move quickly into industry, create results and identify opportunities and potential impacts for tomorrow.”
MRAC delivers Manitoba’s portion ($9.5 million) of the five-year $163 million Canadian Agricultural Adaptation Program (CAAP). CAAP’s objective is to help the agricultural sector adapt and remain competitive.
